We started Duo Pizzicato in 2011 to perform music we first heard at Caffe Trieste in San Francisco. We were inspired by the Italian American mandolin players there such as Matteo Casserino, Ricardo Tunzi, Rudy Cipolla and Tony Flores. Since 2011, we have expanded our repertoire to include songs and tunes from several different regions of Italy and Ticino (the Italian speaking part of Switzerland). Our performances include tarantellas, mazurkas, polkas, tangos, vocal harmonies, and more! Check our calendar to see when we're playing next and listen to our audio tracks on this website.
